About this Event

On Devathani ekadashi in the month of November the marriage of Tulsi and Shaligram was solemnized. Tulsi who was Vrinda in her previous birth had cursed Lord Vishnu to become a stone or Shaligram because He had killed her husband Jalandhar with deception. Seeing Vrinda's devotion for her husband, He promised to marry her in her next birth when she was born as Tulsi. This is why devotees make sure to offer Tulsi leaves to Shaligram or else Lord will not accept their prasadam.
