A woman, who is a resident of Chelsea, is being accused of having a sexual relationship with a minor boy is headed for a trail in the court.
38-year-old Brooke L. Lajiness is scheduled to appear in court on May 8th pretrial hearing before a Washtenaw County Judge.
Lajiness, who is a married woman, faced 13 counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Lajiness’ attorney, David I. Goldstein, told the judge on Thursday that his client was waiving her probable cause hearing and her right to a preliminary examination.
Lajiness remains free on bond.
On March 3rd the Michigan State trooper testified that the suspect had confessed to having sex with the 14-year-old between 8 to 15 times in her car and exchanging nude pictures with him over the internet.
According to the reports, the relations started in the summer of 2016, when the teen was between middle and high school.
