Connecticut takes the largest step among the tri-state area with its phase-2 opening of businesses which include gyms, personal care, restaurants, amusement parks and many more.
The entire world is starting to reopen slowly from the coronavirus lockdown which has been going on for over 3 months now. Connecticut is entering its phase-2 of reopening on Wednesday as the numbers of infections have been dropping miraculously and the state also has one of the lowest transmission states.
The people of Connecticut have been waiting for this for over 3 months now and now it is finally happening. Connecticut is going to allow the reopening of restaurants, gyms, amusement parks, personal care, libraries, social pools, museums, zoo and many other businesses to open from today. The businesses will certainly have to follow the strict measures and protocols of social distancing and all the hygiene protocols which include the usage of masks indoors as well. With businesses being open now, the owners are taking extra measures to maintain 100% hygiene in salons, gyms and restaurants. Though the owners are excited about being open after 3 months, they are still skeptical if the people are going to come out of their homes.
The governor of the state has also increased the size of public gatherings. The indoor gatherings are allowed up to 10 people and the outdoors can have up to 25 people. The restaurants have to have tables 6 feet apart from each other both indoors and outdoors. Apart from the indoor dining, personal services like tattoo artists, nail salons, gyms have also be reopened.
Even though the business owners are looking forward to reopening their businesses they are fully aware of the situations and are not anticipating any public rushes suddenly. The governor chose to have a slow-opening on Wednesday as the coming weekend would be a fathers’ day weekend and the decision looks apt for the public as well as the owners. The state is also preparing for the 4th of July weekend.
