There is a possibility that the Northern Lights can be visible from parts of Connecticut. This a rare chance allowing citizens to witness the beautiful phenomenon if clouds are not in the way.
The Aurora Borealis, also popularly known as the Northern lights are the result of electrons colliding with the Earth’s atmosphere near the North Pole.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland, Ohio tweeted about the phenomenon about to take place and shared it on social media platforms, creating buzz around people in the state. The service also shows locations where the Northern lights can be visible.

Even during large geomagnetic storms, it can be difficult to see the Aurora Borealis in Connecticut due to the amount of light pollution present.
How can we see the Aurora Borealis in Connecticut?
For those who want to try and catch the glimpse of the Northern lights, find a dark area away from the street and city lights between 10pm and 1 am and make sure you're facing north.
