There are a lot of ongoing speculations about the cabinet reshuffle and a bunch of meetings took place recently. Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah along with the cabinet and crucial leaders of BJP met to discuss about the major changes to be made. The long-anticipated reshuffle will take place this week as per the sources from the national media. There are several ministers holding multiple portfolios. The possible dates of the reshuffle is said to be on July 7th or 9th. Several organizational appointments are canceled because of the cabinet reshuffle.
Anupriya Patel of the Apna Dal is likely to be inducted into the cabinet. Several clusters of ministries will be redistributed and 24 berths will be filled with the cabinet reshuffle. As per the rules of the Indian constitution, the number of ministers in the Council should not exceed 15 percent of the total Lok Sabha MPs. It is unclear if Narendra Modi fills all the pending slots in one go or if he chooses to include some more ministers in the next move. Jyotiraditya Scindia too is expected to take a charge in the upcoming cabinet reshuffle. There are several speculations about the new faces and Modi, Amit Shah finalized the list in the recent week.
