The second wave of coronavirus is yet to calm down in India while several western countries of the globe are hit by the third wave of coronavirus. A total number of 38,667 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours and the total tally of cases reached 3,21,56,493. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, 35,743 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours and the total number of recoveries in the country reached 3,13,38,088. There are 3,87,673 active cases for coronavirus in India and a total number of 53.61 crore people took the vaccination shot for coronavirus. The weekly positivity rate for coronavirus is now at 2.05 percent.
478 people passed away in the last 24 hours in India and the total deaths reached 4,30,732. A total number of 63,80,937 doses of vaccination are administered yesterday in India. Kerala reported a huge number of cases and 20,452 cases are reported in the state in the last 24 hours along with 114 deaths yesterday. The daily positivity rate is at 1.73 percent. A total number of 11,93,43,788 people are fully vaccinated in the country in total. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the samples tested in the country on August 13th are said to be 22,29,798 and the samples tested in total in India are said to be 49,17,00,577.
