Love your kid... right

As we always say, love and relationships are not just limited among life partners, but extended to their kids as well. These days, may be because of the fast paced life style or lack of parents interference at a much extent on the kids like, many kids are just growing up more than their age… and this is not in the terms of gaining useful wisdom and knowledge alone but majorly gaining interest on the usage of social networking sites, being online always, chatting with strangers as well but just adding them in the friends list, letting out all the details and personal information to anyone and ending up in a trouble that fetches nothing.

That is the reason, concerned government authorities have banned the usage of social networking sites for the kids… but of course, this is not implemented and has become like any other rule. Better late than never, you being a parent and concerned about your kid’s life, you can take care of getting rid of this habit from your child and here are the tips;

Generally, for those who would not attain a proper maturity of what to do and what not, usage of any social networking site or any other site that allows the interaction even with strangers is not necessary. Keep the PC at a place where it is accessible by one and all living in a family. You can also prohibit the access of these sites in your system.

It is better to let the kids know the pros and cons of the usage of these kind of sites and what is the actual purpose for starting these sites. Unless until we let them know they would not understand the actual purpose of what’s with what and many times, end up being in a problem, only because of their ignorance.

It is not just the usage of the sites… keep a eye on whom your kid is talking to, if your kid is using the phone or net at nights to speak to someone or just browsing something, if yes, what and whom is it, observe everything. I know many parents whose kids discuss about their crush and special friends with their parents, meet those people with the awareness of their parents and if necessary have a freedom to borrow some money from their parents and surprise that special someone with some gifts as well. Rather than restricting your kid, it is better to let them enjoy this ‘special’ feeling so that they can also concentrate on their studies and career… what is right or wrong can only be decided by anyone when they are calm and composed and have a proper idea of what they are doing. So, be smart enough to give that freedom to your kid.
